I founded this biweekly newsletter for Artisan Grain Collaborative to highlight the organization’s work and share news in farming, milling, brewing and distilling, and other areas pertaining to small grains. It was produced in Mailchimp and had an average open rate of 49%.
I managed communications for this nascent grassroots organization and built their following from scratch. Via social media I increased followers 700% on Instagram by introducing themed campaigns and well-received takeovers, and increased followers by 4066% on Facebook.
I led this at capacity educational program for Italian beer company, Birrificio Angelo Poretti, at this key restaurant trade show held in Chicago.
This article, focused on Turkey Red Wheat and the work of Artisan Grain Collaborative, came out of an idea and research that I pitched to the agricultural biodiversity-focused international organization, Global Crop Diversity Trust for their Food Forever 2020 website.
